The BSO Provincial Coordinating Office is pleased to be a collaborator in the development and use of knowledge on the impact of social connection on cognition among older adults produced by the ‘Enhancing the Care of the Older Adults’ (EnCOAR) research team at the Kite Research Institute- University Health Network.

Good social connectedness is associated with better physical and mental health and wellbeing. However, the concepts of social connectedness and strategies to address it have distinct considerations for people living in long-term care (LTC) homes.
