Behavioural Supports Ontario

The Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) initiative was created to enhance health care services for older adults in Ontario with or at risk of responsive behaviours/personal expressions associated with dementia, mental health, substance use and/or other neurological conditions. The initiative also provides enhanced family care partner support in the community, in long-term care or wherever the individual and/or care partner(s) reside.

Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) and Alzheimer Society of Canada Knowledge Translation and Exchange Program

In partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Canada and hosted by brainXchange, the goal of this series is to translate existing and new knowledge from the CCNA into improved care policies, practices, procedures, products, and services by meeting the specific needs of individuals with neurodegenerative diseases and their care partners.

Learning the Ropes Foundations

Take charge of your brain health: A free, self-paced interactive webinar for older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Learning the Ropes Foundations is a free, self-paced, interactive webinar that provides information about mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and communicates three key teachings for managing mild cognitive decline, like memory change. The 45-minute webinar provides education, training, and resources to show older adults how to adopt practical habits aimed at promoting their brain health and wellness. The webinar is self-paced, and is for people experiencing MCI and / or those closest to them. You can access the Foundations webinar here.
