Dementia-related visual impairment survey: Insights from practitioners
Are you a practitioner working with people who have rare dementias? Share your perspective on what services work best and how barriers to continuous support can be reduced.
  • How do local practitioners and support networks minimize barriers to continuous support for people living with dementia related visual impairment (posterior cortical atrophy)?
  • What are your recommendations to improve brain sight support and care pathways?

People affected by dementia-related visual impairment or posterior cortical atrophy experience challenges in obtaining a diagnosis and accessing post-diagnostic support and care.  To develop improve brain sight care and support pathways, we need to learn more from practitioners in the field.  This short survey takes no more than 15 minutes to complete and has received ethics approval from the Nipissing University Research Ethics Board (file no. 103839). This work is a collaboration between Rare Dementia Support Canada and Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada.
