Feedback on the Dementia Dialogue Learning Guides
Dementia Dialogue is a podcast that provides people with lived experiences a way to share their stories with the broader community. A series of Learning Guides have been created to help people with lived experience of dementia, care partners, service providers as well as others within the community, explore four themes of the Dementia Journey. Learners listen to podcast excerpts that speak to these themes and reflect on what they can learn from these.
We would like your feedback on the Dementia Dialogue Learning Guides. Are you a:
  • person living with dementia
  • care partner
  • health care or other service providers supporting people living with dementia/their care partners
  • student
  • Alzheimer Society staff member Time commitment:
  • 1-1.5 hours to review a Learning Guide (there are 4 Guides available. You can choose how many Guides you wish to review).
  • You have 3 options to share your feedback on the Learning Guides: by phone, online survey, or group meeting on Zoom.

What are the Dementia Dialogue Learning Guides?

Dementia Dialogue is a podcast that provides people with lived experiences a way to share their stories and the broader community. Listeners who have dementia and care partners gain insight and strengthen their adaptive skills. Episodes help the broader community understand what it means to live with dementia and how they can offer support.
 
A series of Learning Guides have been drafted to help people with lived experience of dementia (people living with dementia and care partners) as well as professionals and others within the community, explore four themes of the Dementia Journey through listening to podcast excerpts that speak to these themes and reflecting on what they can learn from these.
 

What are the four themes?

  • Changing & Adapting
  • Focus On Me
  • Relationships & Community
  • System Journey

Who are the Guides for?

There are two versions of the Guide:
  • For people with Lived Experience
  • For professionals and volunteers supporting people living with dementia and their care partners

How can you provide feedback?

Email indicating your interest to dhannah@alzon.ca or dementiadialogue@alzon.ca
  • Once confirmed you will receive a copy of the Learning Guides by email. The documents are in Word. A copy of the feedback survey questions will be provided to you.
  • Review the Guides.
  • You have three options to provide your feedback:
    • By completing a survey (link will be sent to you)
    • By arranging a one-on-one meeting (virtual or by phone)
    • By attending a Focus group meeting with other participants (1 hour recorded session)
