Ontario Best Practice Exchange: Behavioural Support Integrated Teams (BSIT) Collaborative

Purpose: To bring together health care professionals, leaders and individuals with lived experience to identify the critical elements for supporting successful transitions using the combined team approach across sectors and across providers.

The BSIT Collaborative is a part of Ontario’s Best Practice Exchange and supported by BSO and brainXchange. Its overarching goal is to bring forward emerging and best practices related to facilitating safe, successful and sustainable transitions across sectors for individuals with or at risk of responsive behaviours/personal expressions. The BSIT Collaborative is made up of a group of health care professionals, leaders and individuals with lived experience who meet on a monthly basis to identify the critical elements that enable successful transitions of various types; using a combined team approach across sectors and across providers from the perspective of persons with lived experience and providers within health care teams.
