The goal of this webinar is to provide learners with details of the recently released update of the Canadian Coalition for Seniors Mental Health (CCSMH) Guidelines on Depression. The new version includes a section on prevention as well as updates on assessment and treatment. The presentation will highlight new recommendations and major modifications

Dr. David Conn is the Vice-President of Education and Director of the Centre for Education and Knowledge Exchange at Baycrest. He is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto and a Geriatric Psychiatrist at Baycrest. David is founding Co-Chair of the Canadian Coalition for Seniors and Mental Health and Past President of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry. He has received numerous awards including the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry Award for Outstanding Contributions to Geriatric Psychiatry in Canada and a Distinguished Service Award from the International Psychogeriatric Association.
 
Robert Madan MD FRCPC; Geriatric Psychiatrist, Psychiatrist-in-Chief and Deputy Chief of Staff, Baycrest; Associate Professor, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto
Dr. Robert Madan attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario and completed his psychiatry residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He has been on staff at Baycrest since 2003 and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Madan is the Psychiatrist in Chief at Baycrest and is involved clinically in long term care consultation, and outpatient psychiatry. Dr. Madan has a strong interest in education. He is the Postgraduate Education Coordinator for the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and the Program Director for the Geriatric Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program at the University of Toronto.
