Did you know that women represent 72% of Canadians living with Alzheimer’s disease? Recent reports stress how important it is for women to be able to recognize the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease. The two main reasons for this are that women account for a greater number of dementia cases than men, and that they often have a care giving lifestyle.
Meet and hear from a panel of women as they share their dementia journey. Learn what it's like living with dementia, or caring for an individual with dementia from the experience of the panelist. This event will provide an opportunity for reflection and dialogue to help us better understand some unique experiences that women may encounter during the journey.
